From "The Great Divorce" by C.S. Lewis, the chapter about the 'tragedy' between two lovers separated by Heaven and Hell... Or positively, its a beautiful chapter that examines Eros (love between lovers).

Very nice, love the ochres and earth tones, but the line work is center stage for me, great job. Love the foliage especially, the tree bark is very Franklin Booth, and, of course, a great subject to illustrate.

What program for digital coloring are you using?

I admire your technique and I've been trying to achieve something similar with my work and it's just not coming out as well as I would like.

I used photoshop, and colored the scanned ink dark brown, and then all the other colors are just simple solid colors in different layers.
